Commodore 64 received a backlash, a hefty charge last year, now a 1980s PCs game number you get a full-size model – which means it has a keyboard that works with buttons. They could just look at the smaller version introduced last fall.
Other features and enhancements to the full size of THEC64 (as it is called a unit) include audio streaming, keeping the audio playing as close as possible to the original when the TheC64 system operates at a different level of refreshment than expected. The full size C64 will also display all PC video output in full 720p resolution at any player's monitor.
The full size C64 has been available for pre-order in Europe via Indiegogo and will be shipped soon. No word yet on when this version arrives in North America. Mini C64 introduced in the U.S. And in Canada last October and currently available on Amazon for $ 32, for those interested in the games.
The C64 has two variants, a 40-column C64 front end and a 22-column phat-text VIC-20 emulator. Owners will be able to load their systems, along with multiple disks. More available via THEC64 webpage.
