In mid-2020, at the event The Future of Gaming in which we took our first look at the PlayStation 5 console, we got to know a new Square Enix game that impressed us with its graphic quality and the agility of its protagonist. His provisional name was Project athia, but now we know it’s really called Forspoken.
The revelation of the official name, new gameplay videos and information about it took place at the digital event ‘Square Enix Presents’. It began with a performance by actress Ella Balinska, who not only voiced the female lead, Frey Holland, but did the motion capture work. She said that “Frey is a very real character, a girl who lost her way figuratively and literally and with whom I immediately felt connected.”

Forspoken it will be an action RPG designed specifically for PS5 by the Luminous Productions team – known for their work on Final Fantasy XV– in order to get the most out of the console.
What is the history of Forspoken?
In this title we will control Frey Holland, an ordinary girl who enters a world called Athia for the first time. This land is incredibly beautiful, but also cruel and deadly. In the trailer that accompanies this note we can take a quick look at the beautiful settings, enemies that Frey will face and the impressive abilities that will allow him to travel through Athia at high speed.
