Valheim reached six million salesas the indie developer Iron Gate Studios on Steam reported. This makes the early access survival game one of the most successful new games to date in 2021. And the good news for developers comes with even better news for players.

After Iron Gate was mainly busy with bug fixing and balance improvements in the last few weeks, work on the first content update is now starting Hearth and Home. There is still no release date for the associated patch, but at least the developers are now really getting started.

There is also a little teaser about what you can expect in the patch. The developers show a new component that represents a raven:

This bird will soon beautify your Viking base in Valheim.

More base, more feed

Apparently it is a figure for the roof of your nave or your Viking castle. A similar element is already present in Valheim and shows a dragon’s head. What else is in Hearth and Home exactly remains a secret for the time being.

But as we already know, Hearth and Home focuses on base building by adding new building blocks. New cooking recipes should also be included in the new update so that your Viking always has a decent buff on stamina and vitality.

Take a look at the complete Valheim roadmap for 2021. Hearth and Home will be followed by updates for side quests, improved Open World and even a new biome, the Fog Lands.
