Since the launch of Watch Dogs: Legion, there have been numerous reports about upcoming post-launch content for the game. Ubisoft previously released a trailer showcasing some of the new Year 1 content, including a new story expansion and new playable heroes. For Watch Dogs players, your patience will pay off this year.
A recent tweet revealed the Watch Dogs: Legion content roadmap for the next few months in 2021. The new roadmap provides several previews of new content coming to the game, including late April, May, June, and August. However, in August, Watch Dogs: Legion will add a new playable hero in addition to a new crossover event with the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
At the end of August, Watch Dogs: Legion will introduce the Assassin’s Creed crossover as the new world event. According to the roadmap, the crossover will be free content that game owners will be able to access. As of this writing, not much information has been released about the new crossover event. However, based on previous comments from the game’s live producer, Lathieeshe Thillainathan, the crossover is primarily fun fan service between the two game franchises.

In addition to the new crossover, Watch Dogs: Legion will also add a new playable hero named Darcy in August. The new character will come as part of the season pass, along with new missions starring the new hero as shown in the roadmap. Darcy will be a modern Assassin helping DedSec and will have her own backstory and familiar Assassin’s Creed gameplay. However, like the crossover event, she will not be canon of the Assassin’s Creed franchise and will be a unique character to the game.
Darcy won’t be the only new playable hero added to the game. Starting in late April, the game will add a new character with mind control abilities named Mina Sidhu and a new mission included with the season pass. Watch Dogs: Legion will also feature the return of Aiden Pearce, the protagonist of the first game. Aiden will be available with the season pass.
The game will also add the fan-favorite character Wrench from Watch Dogs 2 to the game as part of the season pass content. In late June, Watch Dogs: Legion will add its new Bloodline story expansion, which will feature Aiden Pearce and Wrench as the main characters. The game will also introduce new cooperative missions and multiplayer game modes, such as Tactical OP 2, PVP Invasion, and PVP Extraction for free at the end of May.
Watch Dogs: Legion players will have a lot to look forward to, whether it’s the new playable heroes, the story expansion, or the Assassin’s Creed crossover.
Watch Dogs: Legion is available now on Amazon Luna, PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X / S.
