He got his Ring-Con from Ring Fit Adventure and was able to turn it into a fully functional controller that interacts with Breath of the Wild. It means that instead of controlling the game protagonist with a standard Joy-Con or Pro Controller, you should play the game as if you were playing Ring Fit.
