When Yakuza like a dragon was in the west on PS4 and Xbox Series X | S released and we then declared that “J-RPG is a new size” (we also invite you to read the Xbox Series X | S version of the game review). That remark still holds true today as this title is also available in a PS5 version. From a scenic and entertaining point of view, the game on the new Sony console is identical in every way to the PS4 version. And in terms of tech, this PS5 version of Ichiban Kasuga’s adventures has the same advantages as the Xbox Series X version. In addition to the two display modes (which prefer either resolution or frame rate), Yakuza like a dragon sees its significantly reduced loading times on PS5, which significantly improves gaming comfort. It’s just unfortunate that the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio I did not take the time to use the DualSense and activity card functions. However, this element does not detract from the enjoyment of Yakuza like a dragon. PlayStation players who haven’t opted for the PS4 version should check out Ichiban Kasuga and Company. The SEGA-Studio is starting this new generation on a very good basis. We hope it will continue on its path in the years to come.
