Animal Crossing Wins Two BAFTA Awards – Best “Game Beyond Entertainment” And Best Multiplayer Title

The 2021 Bafta Game Awards has just taken place, celebrating the best games of last year and the talent behind them.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons ended up taking out two awards on the night – best “game beyond entertainment” and best “multiplayer” title. Some of its competition across these categories included The Last of Us Part II, Dreams, Fall Guys, Ghost of Tsushima and Sackboy: A Big Adventure.

Hades was the star of the show, winning a total of five awards on the night – including Artistic Achievement, Best Game, Game Design and Narrative. Hade’s performer Logan Cunningham won his first BAFTA for best performer in a supporting role.

Although the indie hit won five games, The Last of Us Part II took out the Game of the Year for 2020 award. Notably, it was the only award to be voted by the public. You can watch a full recap of the show down below:
