Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War

The Call of Duty scheduled for 2021 developed by Sledgehammer Games will finally return to World War II, as recently confirmed by some media. In addition, the working title of the project is Call of Duty WW2: Vanguard, according to some media sources like VGC.

It is assumed that the motor would be an upgrade to IW8, the same one used by Warzone or the latest Modern Warfare, a move that appears to have been made to make it easier to switch between Warzone and WW2 Vanguard’s multiplayer modes, which fans of the 85 million-plus Battle Royal title will appreciate.

Call of Duty WW2: Vanguard will be integrated with Warzone again, although at the moment it’s unclear how they will do it this year, as the two games take place at very different times. Right now, it’s speculated that Warzone might skip WWII altogether, in terms of its map refurbishment, and may wait until COD 2022 launches to renew its storyline again.

It’s expected that next April the map of Warzone known as Verdansk, are finally undergoing big changes design to suit the events and decades recounted in Black Ops Cold War. Perhaps an explosive event serves to make a narrative transition from the era of modern warfare to a setting more in tune with the Cold War.
