Voice assistants have gone from being available on our phones to using them on watches, tablets, TVs or speakers as well. It was a matter of time before they switched to cars.
New 500 Hey Google family
The Italian manufacturer Fiat has presented a new family of cars integrated into its catalog based on the Fiat 500. It has called it Hey Google 500 Family because all models include the integrated Google Assistant.
Plus, buyers of these cars take home a Google Nest Hub, Google’s screen speaker, as a gift.
What can we do with the assistant in the car
Beyond the automotive aspects, these cars are distinguished by a strong integration with the Google Assistant thanks to a function called MyFiat. Thanks to this, we can ask the assistant for various things about the car, such as:
- Where it is parked.
- How much fuel is left.
- How many kilometers have we traveled today.
- If the doors are closed.
Thanks to an intelligent console with a touch screen in which the assistant is integrated, we will be able to control the mechanical aspects such as:
- Opening and closing of doors.
- Turn on the hazard warning lights.
You can even receive a notification if the car leaves a predefined zone or if it exceeds a specified speed, perfect if you are going to lend it to someone.
The entertainment system uses a 7-inch Uconnect touchscreen compatible with Car Play and Android Auto, and has six speakers.
As for vehicles, there are three models, all with the same aesthetic, albeit with different engine configurations and extras.
