Captain America has always been a prime example of a hero! Always attentive to the common good, scaling back his own concerns, Steve Rogers was the perfect symbol as Captain America. But the brand “Captain America” has in episode 4 of “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier“Taken a lot of damage. Attention, it will follow Spoiler!
Fight at the end of the new episode John Walker, the new Captain America, and his sidekick Lamar aka Battlestar together with Bucky and Sam against the Flag-Smashers under Karli Morgenthau. In the heat of the moment, an explosive situation finally arises in which Karli Battlestar kills.
Already plagued by the pressure to be a good Captain America, John Walker then loses all control in a bloodlust and hunts the Flag Smashers. Since he cannot get hold of Karli, he brutally kills another member of the terrorist group and lets himself be filmed on the street.
Sam is shocked, Bucky is shocked, Karli is shocked, Twitter users are shocked! Many indignant viewers see the end of the episode as proof that the sign will go back to Sam next week, or at least someone else, because John Walker has stained the Captain America sign – in the truest sense of the word with blood!
But how does it really go on? What’s up for the fifth episode of the Marvel series Disney+ trending and what do the comics tell us about the future of Marvel-Universums?
Does John Walker blame Bucky and Sam and seek revenge?
In the Marvel Comics, John Walker suffers a similar loss. In contrast to the series, the civil name of John Walker is a secret, which is publicly revealed by two of his former sidekicks after they feel exchanged and betrayed by Walker.
The revelation of the name causes a villainous group to kill John Walker’s wife. In a bloodlust, Walker murders many members of this group. Then he blames his former sidekicks and takes revenge on them, so that they fall into a coma.
This fate translates pretty well to “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier”. The role of the villain group is taken by the Flag-Smashers, that of the dead wife is taken on by Lamar aka Battlestar, and that of the two sidekicks by Bucky and Sam.
After the bloodlust has already ensured that Walker has taken revenge on members of the Flag Smashers, he will soon face Bucky and Sam. He will blame them for being too squeamish with Karli and for this being the reason for Lamar’s death.
Unlike the comics, this probably won’t end up in a coma for Bucky and Sam. Nevertheless, they will probably clash violently! The fight could end with Walker eventually voluntarily giving up the shield.
John Walker feels unworthy and gives up the shield
In the comics, John Walker is caught after his revenge on Steve Rogers, who, unlike the series, is still alive. However, after a fight, they band together to fight a common enemy. Walker then gives the shield back to Steve as he considers himself unworthy.
So the fight between Falcon, Winter Soldier and John Walker will not last, but will be given up for the common good. The common enemy is logically Zemo, who was not seen at the end of the fourth episode of “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier”.
The series walker is aggressive and sometimes impetuous and brutal, but at heart he always wants to do good. So he will grow beyond his ego and not only make peace with Bucky and Sam, but will also voluntarily give up the shield as soon as he has a little breather after his bloodlust in which he can think.
