Yahoo Answers, the online resource for wonderfully serious and is nonsensical user submitted questions Shut down forever on May 4th. But the bizarre questions themselves will live on in one form – probably in that best Form – as phrases for Sega’s zombie type-’em-up, Typing the dead: overkill.
For those who are not familiar Entering the deadIt’s a spin-off from Sega’s Zombie Light Gun arcade game series The House of the Dead. Instead of weapons, in-game players and agents use keyboards (sometimes Dreamcast keyboards) to fend off zombie hordes. Players quickly have to type increasingly complex sentences such as “rental underwear”, “sexual tyrannosaurus” or “is it too late to shake hands” under the pressure of impending zombie attacks.
On Steam, players can add their own phrases Typing the dead: overkill via the Steam Workshop. The people behind that YahooAnswersTXT Twitter account recently did just that, adding a custom dictionary of around 500 Yahoo Answers questions to the PC game. You can Get the mod for free from the Steam Workshop and like to type things like “GANGSTER GHOST?” or “Is Yamble a word?” (or maybe even “How is Babby made?”) During your next Typing of the Dead session.
