With the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, the multi-award-winning sci-fi trilogy is to be noticeably revamped and brought to new life. Nothing should get in the way of the targeted release.
The release of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition on PC, PS4 and Xbox One is planned for May 14, 2021 – compatibility with PS5 and Xbox Series X / S included. It should now be certain that the trilogy will appear on time.
The background is that the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition has now officially reached the so-called gold status; Developer BioWare has now confirmed this in the person of Director Mac Walters. Translated, this means that the development work has been successfully completed and the game is now only made ready for sales. As a rule, a first update for the gold master is already being worked on behind the scenes, which will then be available at or shortly after the release and fix other problems that have occurred in the meantime during test runs.
The Mass Effect: Legendary Edition was only announced in November 2020. These are noticeably optimized versions of the original sci-fi trilogy. Above all, the very first part will shine in a much more modern light than before.
The specific changes you can look forward to have already been announced at an earlier point in time.
