After Siri informed us that Apple was planning, with its official confirmation, an event for next April 20, the Cupertino company released the eighth beta of iOS, iPadOS and tvOS 14.5, watchOS 7.4 and macOS 11.3. Some versions which, according to the schedule to which Apple has accustomed us, they should arrive next week.
Eighth version today and final version probably next week
Beta 14.5 of the various operating systems lasted exceptionally long. Something almost uniquely comparable to the major release betas that occur during the summer and far enough away from the four betas that 13.4 had. A situation justified by all settings defined by Apple to tweak important news such as unlocking iPhone using Apple Watch.
In general, Apple expects release new software version after hardware announcement, to prevent leaks, and at the same time release this software before the hardware hits the market. Something that fits a keynote from April 20, when we’d see the new iPad Pro, iPad mini, and other minor news.
This also matches the eighth beta release today and sort of announces that the final version will be with us soon. With this, the beta versions of iOS, iPadOS and tvOS 14.5, as well as those of watchOS 7.7 and macOS 11.3, are already coming to an end.
Keep in mind that this version also includes Application Tracking Transparency, the setting that will allow us to prevent apps from sharing our data with other companies for advertising purposes. A change that leads developers to make adjustments for which Apple has also left a significant margin of time. The wait is over though, next week if all goes well we should be able to enjoy the news on all of our devices.
