Rockstar Games is one of the companies that launches the least games in large periods of time, and although they used to take their own, the frequency has dropped this last decade to levels never seen before. As an example we have Red Dead Redeption 2, the only Rockstar game released within this generation of consoles, since GTA V was originally for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
According to a new statement that comes from the hands of SWEGTA, the Twitter user in charge of informing about Rockstar movements, and of GamingBolt, Take-Two Interactive could be pressing the company to launch more games in a shorter timeframe. Because although Rockstar games have an enviable quality, a bit more cadence is missing.
Take-Two is reportedly pressuring Rockstar Games to return to their more frequent game release schedule.
Although this probably would be bad for bigger franchises like GTA and Red Dead, it could incentivize them to continue focusing on much smaller titles like Bully and Manhunt.

In the tweet that SWEGTA shared, there is also talk about how this could influence the quality of Rockstar games, and he tells us that although he worries a little that he can go down in the biggest franchises, such as Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead Redemption , If that could force the company to focus on smaller franchises like Bully and Manhunt. A few months ago a Rockstar worker claimed that the company was working on several projects, and we hope it is true.
Do you think Rockstar should get more games in less time?
