Although not everyone knows it, there is an almost secret shortcut on the home screen of almost all Android mobiles. If we click on the G of the desktop search widget on a mobile phone, Discover will open, which will give us access to the Google Assistant.
In this section we have a button that takes us to the Day View area, which is a kind of personalized agenda with the most relevant events, weather information, etc.
Google adds bookmarks to the daily view
In the latest update to this app, Google decided to allow users to pin different events at the top. That way, we’ll prioritize those over those that, according to the timeline, appear.
For this we need to find the event we want to anchor. We click on the icon of the three dots that all cards have in the lower left part. A new option appears called Favorites.
If we tap on it, this event will be displayed at the top of the task and card list no matter where it was previously.
At the moment, this update is not available to everyone, but Google is sending the update that will activate it so it should only take a few days before we can all bookmark specific events.
