Call of Duty: Warzone can also be played on PS5 and Xbox Series X / S thanks to backwards compatibility, but it is far from using all the options. That could change soon.
Of course, Call of Duty: Warzone already benefits from the technical possibilities of the new consoles, such as the 120 Hz support of the Xbox Series X. Native versions for the new consoles are not yet available.
Creative Director Amos Hodge from Raven Software has now confirmed in an interview with Charlie Intelthat the studio is already working on native next-gen upgrades to be released in the form of patches.
A complete team at Raven Software is responsible for this and takes care of all technical upgrades. Among other things, 120 fps support and faster loading times through the use of the internal SSDs are an issue.
Dates for this have not yet been announced, but at least PS5 and Xbox Series X / S owners have something to look forward to. Until then you can have fun with the freshly started new season and the new map Verdansk 84. It’s already something.
