Capcom has listened to the fans and has extended the time in which we can try the Resident Evil Village demo, the last one before launch that will not be exclusive to PS4 but can be downloaded on all platforms where the game will be available. Initially it was only going to be possible to play from May 1 to 2, but now we will have an extra week.
In this way, at least in America we will be able to download it from May 1 and we will be able to play an hour of the title throughout the two areas of the previous PS4 exclusive demos. Therefore, the exclusive contract with Sony only had priority as to who could test the demo first, but in the end the content will be available to everyone.
One more week
In Europe the period has been extended from May 2 to May 10, so in the end the final demo will be available even after the launch of the game which is on May 7. At this point it is one of the most anticipated titles of the year, so a public demo comes in handy and it is certainly appreciated that Capcom has listened to its fans.
We’ve heard your feedback and are extending the availability period for the final 60-minute multi-platform #REVillage demo.

And is that the previous demos, exclusive to Sony, had a time limit of 8 hours and 30 minutes of play, the situation was even difficult to explain so the criticism began to be heard. The same limits were imposed on the public demo, but this time the voice of reason prevailed and Capcom decided to extend these periods so that everyone can test the demo before purchasing the game.
The title has acquired an unprecedented viral context for the saga, which is why it is speculated that it is the best-selling game in the series. Honor that for now remains in the hands of Resident Evil 7 with more than 8.5 million copies.
