The beta versions of iOS 14.5 showed many new features that we can now enjoy with the final version. However, other functions remain hidden and Apple will attempt to activate them by telematics when it deems it appropriate. One of these functions was the App Store search suggestions, a useful way to direct your search for apps and content from the Big Apple app store. A few hours earlier, officially launched search suggestions in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia.

Through the official App Store account on Twitter, Apple announced the arrival of the search suggestions in your search for applications. This is a feature already available in the latest beta of iOS 14.5 for some users. However, in the final version, we did not see a widespread activation of the tool.
It is because of it will only be available in the US, Canada, UK and Canada. These four countries will be beta testers for a feature that will allow users to profile searches. For example, we will put “photos” and the App Store will recommend tags like “collages”, “editor”, “video”, etc. We’ll be able to select one or more tags and we’ll see the different results that match the exact search.

It is likely that in the coming months this function will reach all countries of the world. In the meantime, we can update our devices to iOS 14.5 and take advantage of all the new features included, such as the ability to unlock iPhone using Apple Watch.
