It seems that the mysterious third project of IO Interactive is an ongoing project on Xbox.
IO interaction Is working on a new project, which will be released by Microsoft for Xbox. This is based on a report from Windows Central, which was confirmed by Eurogamer.

The original report pointed out that the game is still in the early stages of development and is a fantasy IP. It will take place in a medieval environment and will feature dragons. The source told Eurogamer that the scope of the project is “AAA” and will be carried out in a wide world. Little is known about this game.
So far, IO Interactive has been very open to the expansion of the studio. In addition to the successful “Hitman” series, IO is also committed to producing the original 007 James Bond game, which the studio hopes to turn into a trilogy. Then there is the third IP IO that has never been really talked about, and we now know that this is a fantasy game for Xbox.
Given how early the development report’s recommendations are, don’t expect to hear it formally in a while. Nevertheless, it will be released by Xbox Game Studios, and other projects that Microsoft also collaborates with other third-party developers.
