The indie darling Among Us enjoys great popularity on various platforms, only PlayStation owners have so far been left empty-handed. But that should change now!
Last night, Sony is known to present a new edition of its in-house video format State of Play, which primarily focused on Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. As promised in advance, only two other titles were briefly honored, including Among Us.
Developer Innersloth now used the stage at Sony to officially announce the indie darling for the PlayStation. In the further course of the year there should finally be a PS4 and PS5 version.
The game was originally released for iOS in the summer of 2018 and then followed on Steam in the fall of this year. Since then, the title’s popularity has risen sharply and other platforms have been opened up. The Switch followed in December 2020 and an Xbox version was also announced in advance. So now the PlayStation follows.
On the Sony consoles, future players of the mobile game that was most frequently downloaded in 2020 will also receive a small goodie: In line with yesterday’s State of Play, this version of the game also features a Ratchet & Clank skin with headgear and animal. It was also announced that the PlayStation version will support both cross-play and online multiplayer.
