Game news Rainbow Six Siege: Towards the Apocalypse with a new event
Accustomed to temporary events, Rainbow Six Siege, the tactical FPS based on the Tom Clancy universe, is back with a brand new temporary game mode.
Take out the guns! As part of the first season of the sixth year, the agents of Rainbow Six and in particular Fuze, Gridlock, Maverick, Nomad, Twitch, Maestro, Melusi, Rook, Smoke or even Valkyrie are ready to face the apocalypse. From now until May 18, 2021, during a new event, players can traverse a post-apocalyptic version of the Outback map to take part in clashes between two rival clans. the keepers and the warbands. These two clans have only one goal in mind: to find the last plant on planet earth and, in particular, to regain it.
The new Canister game mode allows players to fight as members of the Keepers or Warband clans to find the last remaining plant on earth. Defenders can move the box with the plant on the map, while attackers can activate scanners scattered around the map to see if a defender is in a particular room. The main goal of the attackers is to defuse the tank with the facility. On the defending side, the agents must protect the box until the time to victory is up. To achieve victory, the players must exterminate the entire opposing team.
To accompany the temporary apocalypse event of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft naturally decides to introduce a collection of 35 customization items for the above characters, including new heads, gun skins and, in particular, personalized uniforms. Note that these items are obviously available from the game store. Character bundles are therefore sold for 1680 R6 credits (premium currency) and Apocalypse packs for 300 R6 credits or 12,500 Fame Points (currency that can be unlocked by playing).
