Steps to install iPadOS 14.6 beta on your iPad
As we explained above, there are two beta versions, one of them is designed exclusively for developers and the other is a public beta for anyone who wants to try it out. We explain how to install both versions.
How to install iPadOS beta for developers
The first thing to do is to be a developer or a developer. To do this, you will need to join Apple’s developer program. You can do it through this link. Keep in mind that this is not free, you will have to pay around 85 dollars for a year of subscription.
Then you will have to go to this link and enter your Apple ID to go to the download page. You may need to register the UDID of the device you are installing the beta on, as well as select the exact model of the device.

You will need to choose the appropriate file for iPadOS 14.6, download it and unzip it on a computer or Mac. Connect the device to the computer and open iTunes to start the installation process. Select the .IPSW file for this.
How to install the public beta of iPadOS
The public beta of iPadOS is not yet available. By the time it will be you will have to go to this link and click on the “Register” button. Then log into the “Beta software program”.
You will need to register your Apple device with iPadOS. From that same device, go to beta.apple.com/profile and download and install the configuration profile. The beta version will be available in “Settings”, under “General” in “Updates to Software“.
