After the game had already been leaked online, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio today officially announced the sequel Lost Judgment including the release date.
Together with SEGA, the Yakuza makers confirmed today that Judgment will receive a sequel. The new action game will be called Lost Judgment and comes from the same studio that is responsible for the long-standing Yakuza series.
The sequel playfully combines detective work with film noir style and action-packed battles in a mysterious thriller setting. Takayuki Yagami returns as the protagonist and private detective. He wants to defend those who are not protected by the law.
The ex-lawyer becomes a beating detective again in the sequel and teams up again with his partner, the ex-yakuza Masaharu Kaito. Together, the duo are set on a supposedly perfect crime whose prime suspect seems to have a perfect alibi. What begins as a story of revenge leads to a fabric of conspiracies in which various factions want to take advantage of the broken legal system. But as the number of victims increases and Yagami gets closer to the truth, he increasingly has to choose between law and justice.
Yagami uses a variety of ready-to-use products, such as Harness Crane, Tiger and the new Snake Style. When it comes to detective tricks, he expands his possibilities with new gadgets and infiltration methods. The setting takes you to the bustling inner cities of Tokyo and Yokohama.
The game’s release is scheduled for September 24, 2021 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S and PS4; Pre-orders should be possible shortly.
