For now, in the new generation of NVIDIA RTX 30 Series graphics cards, there is only one model officially launched on the market, the RTX 3060 Ti, but we are hearing about the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti. for a long time, two charts that ceased to be speculative last week since it was announced that NVIDIA would officially present them to the company on May 31. However, the third model hasn’t been referenced until now, so let’s see what happens.
Three models of NVIDIA “Ti” GPUs registered in the EEC
As we said, the regulatory filing in the EEC was done by assembler Palit, and includes many custom designed graphics cards. The interesting thing about this record is that the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti are reconfirmed once again, but also that the RTX 3050 Ti
In the current generation of NVIDIA graphics cards we would still have the RTX 3090 as the undisputed top of the line, followed by the RTX 3080 Ti and the RTX 3080. Behind these we would have the RTX 3070 Ti, RTX 3070, RTX 3060 Ti, the RTX 3060 and here the RTX 3050 Ti would be introduced, behind the RTX 3060.
NVIDIA’s goal with these “Ti” versions is clear: to fill the price gaps in its catalog. In this way, the RTX 3080 Ti would also be designed to better compete with AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT, while its RTX 3070 Ti would do so with the Radeon RX 6800 models. The new RTX 3050 Ti could carve a niche for itself. even from so far away AMD does not have a GPU model under the RX 6700 XT
However, it must be taken into account that leaks of the supposed AMD Radeon RX 6600 series are also appearing, which means that this NVIDIA RTX 3050 Ti could be precisely a response in preparation for the launch of AMD, with the aim of not their not give a single breath. Everything will depend, in any case and as usual, on whether there is finally Stock
Launch, stock exchange and market
As we announced last week, NVIDIA is expected to officially announce the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti on the same day. May 31st, and in early June there should be availability. NVIDIA separates graphics card versions from this generation a lot (hopefully) due to chip supply issues, so it’s likely that they delayed this launch until they had actual stock in order to that users can effectively purchase these graphics in-store, with stock and at its actual, uninflated price.
As for the RTX 3050 Ti, nothing is known yet, but if our suspicions that NVIDIA will wait until AMD’s Radeon RX 6600 launch materializes, we probably won’t see them until probably Q3 of this year. Regarding the price of course, nothing is known, so we will have to wait for more information to arrive from NVIDIA (what is certain is that it will cost less than the RTX 3060, of course).
