The Pan European Game Information board (often abbreviated as PEGI), seems to have lifted the lid on Death Kombat Kollection Online prior to the official announcement.
If this rating is a factor, the game will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch soon. Project to team behind Kombat Death Comes Back and Mortal Kombat HD Remix it was reportedly canceled in early 2018, but this measure suggests that the development may still work.

According to a report from DSOGaming dating April last year, Ed Boon "liked" the play version of Kombat Death Comes Back when he first saw it, but Warner Bros. felt that it would not allow such an "important project" to be developed by an unauthorized group.
