Salutations to all! Matt “Bayohne” Hilton of the Final Fantasy XIV Community Team here, as we kick off the 2021 Final Fantasy XIV Digital Fan Festival today! We’ll be live today and tomorrow on our official Twitch and YouTube channels with a ton of great content on all things FFXIV: developer panels, special guests, musical performances and more.
We got off to a good start when producer and director Naoki Yoshida gave the keynote address – sharing many new details for Endwalker’s next expansion, including a release date: November 23, 2021.
Yoshida has shared many updates for Endwalker during the keynote. As you might remember if you’ve seen our February Announcement Showcase, we’re heading towards the climax of the Hydaelyn and Zodiark story arc, and with this new story, new areas and cities to explore, multiple new jobs to play, a level cap increase, and new enemies to face on our adventures. You might also remember the hint Yoshida dropped about the second new job for Endwalker – how many of you guessed right?
Harvester Job Comes To FFXIV With Endwalker as the last melee DPS work. Reapers use scythes as their weapon of choice and can deal devastating damage at close range when summoning avatars to fight alongside them. I am certainly delighted to try both the reaper and the sage (Endwalker’s new healer profession) – what do you plan to try first?
We were treated to another special reveal as well, and I know many have asked since Viera’s initial reveal at the 2019 Fan Festival in Paris.
That’s right, male Viera will be joining his female counterparts with the release of Endwalker. The development team has worked hard to bring the much-requested male Viera to the world of Final Fantasy XIV, so we hope you all are excited.

Introducing Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker Pre-Order Bonuses
Yoshida also announced the start of pre-orders for Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, and you can now pre-order the game for PS5 and PS4. There are some amazing in-game bonuses that you will instantly receive when you pre-order from PlayStation Store that will help you prepare for the upcoming expansion:
- In-game item: Menphina Earring – A stunning earring with a design inspired by the moon. This useful earring has attributes that vary based on the user’s class / job and current level when equipped and grants a 30% boost to EXP up to level 80 when equipped. scope.
- In-game item: Palom Minion to reassemble – Palom, one of the young twins who joins your party in Final Fantasy IV, arrives as a servant with whom you can share new adventures.
- Early access – Early Access is tentatively scheduled to begin on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 1:00 a.m. PT and will allow players to play Endwalker prior to the official release.
