Apart from the graphical overhaul in the new version of the 2007 classic Mass Effect included in the newly released remaster Mass Effect Legend, there are not many changes. These range from changes to weapon handling and working methods to bug fixes, etc., but I just didn’t get the new “level zoom” setting.

The original “Mass Effect” has a level cap of 60. If you don’t join a new game, it’s hard to be hit. The level zoom setting allows you to switch between two modes: the original classic level and the new “legendary mode” level-the XP distribution and upgrade process has been changed, and a new level cap of 30 has been introduced.

This mode basically halves the level you can obtain in the first mass effect, but for each level you obtain, the number of skill points you can obtain will also double. This means that you upgrade the game less frequently than the original game, but each time you upgrade the game, you will get more skill points. This keeps things in balance, so that when you reach the upper limit of level 30, you can still more or less maximize all the skills on the Mass Effect skill tree.

So I understand what it does-but I am still not sure if I really understand the purpose of this change. Do you want to align the first “Mass Effect” with the sequel that has 30 basic progress? Has the XP release been adjusted so that you can now more easily reach the initial run limit?

It seems that I am not the only one who is confused. Mass Effect (Mass Effect) A thread on Reddit allows people to scientifically compare XP gains and upgrades between the two modes in an attempt to figure out what they are doing.

If it’s just to get people to the highest level, I will understand this, although at the same time, I don’t completely agree. The new game and the first batch of “Mass Effect” trials have brought a lot of fun, which may be due to the more in-depth RPG system and mechanism compared to its sequel. It is also more interesting to see the origins and outcomes of different characters. By requiring you to play more than once to reach the level cap, the original release encouraged these actions.

For better or worse, “Legendary Edition” hopes that you can enter “Mass Effect 2,” so perhaps the level scaling has been adjusted to ensure that people can get the most rewards for importing the save file of the second game.

If that is the case, I am still confused even. Because to be honest, who cares? The reward for importing Shepard’s upper limit into ME2 is very small, up to level 5. The game is too different for anything else. Mass effect 2 to 3 is an appropriate, more cohesive manifestation of character progress and skill continuity.
