Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance
- Just last week the classic Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance got a re-release on consoles supporting 4K, and now the developer Black Isle Studios confirms the PC version will be releasing later this year. The title was revealed last week to be coming to consoles, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
- While there isn’t a confirmed release window for the PC version, the developer does assure online co-op using Steam’s remote play feature.
- In case you missed it, the re-release features updated high-resolution graphics but will still preserve the presentation of the original Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance. The game is a top-down Action-RPG with two-player co-op, described as a hack-and-slash classic which originally released on Playstation 2 and the original Xbox.
- But if that wasn’t enough, Black Isle Studios also have shared that a Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 2 re-release is “on the table”. There is little else to go on at this point but more news will be underway according to their tweet.
- If you’re curious to know what we thought about the re-release check our Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance Review video.

New World
- The latest trailer for Amazon’s upcoming MMORPG New World features PVE content including the five-player dungeon that takes place in the Amrine Excavation site.
- The Amrine Excavation is located in the notorious dig site, where a famous archaeologist and their crew were last seen. Players will go deep into the troubled area and find out what happened to the ancient technology that was unearthed.
- Amazon Games shared a little about expeditions in March this year, explaining their vision for the five-player instanced dungeons. Each dungeon takes between three to five players to complete, encouraging players to group up together, and use “teamwork to overcome challenges”, this includes solving puzzles and defeating menacing beasts. There will be bosses, mechanics and loot to gain.
- The developer has detailed players will need to be level 25 in order to enter the Amrine Excavation, meaning it is an “introductory experience” for those going into Expeditions for the first time. Mechanics of the puzzle’s difficulty as well as AI will be scaled accordingly.
- New World will begin its closed beta on July 20th, and will launch on PC on August 31st. For more on New World be sure to check out our Everything About New World, Amazon’s Atypical MMORPG.

Elder Scrolls Online Blackwood
- A new trailer has been released for upcoming The Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood featuring the Deadlands and Damnation. In this latest trailer we get a closer look at the storyline which outlines the next chapter concerning the Daedric Prince, Mehrunes Dagon, and the agreement made with The Black Drake, an emperor.
- It also foretells the missing four ambitions, scattered across Tamriel, and the next adventure to find them before anyone else does. Gathering them would mean possessing the power of Oblivion, and stopping those who might try to wield this terrible power.
- The trailer takes on a different style to the usual chapter trailers, this time told with a cool comic-like animation, which gives a fresh look into the storytelling for Blackwood.
- Elders Scrolls Online Blackwood will be releasing on June 1st for PC and on Playstation and Xbox on June 8th.

Scarlet Nexus promises fast-paced combat, with an anime art style aesthetic, not too dissimilar to that of Code Vein.
- In case you missed it, Bandai released a number of screenshots last month featuring costumes, the Brain Map, powers and more.
- Scarlet Nexus will release on June 25th on PC via Steam, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

inXile Entertainment
- It looks like inXile Entertainment are developing an FPS RPG according to a hint dropped by the Wasteland 3 studio when responding to an Xbox tweet asking “What kind of game should I play next?”.
- inXile responded with “Pulled NEW + FPS + RPG,” which looks like they are teasing an FPS RPG. This means inXile would be working on an FPS as their first project under Microsoft.
- This isn’t the first we’ve heard of details of what the developer is working on, as the details of their game were spotted in job listings that were posted back in January. The description mentions both “tactile first-person weapons” and under-required skills “first-person shooters and RPGs”. This new tweet backs up these snippets of information, supporting the idea that their next game will focus on a first-person shooter.
- Currently, inXile Entertainment are continuing to focus on their tactical squad-based RPG Wasteland 3, which will receive its first expansion Rangers of Steeltown on June 3rd. If you want to know what we thought of the latest entry Wasteland 3 be sure to check out our Wasteland 3 Review: Baldur’s Gate Meets X-Com.
