Note Editors: Eurogamer is restarting its & # 39; s best game series & # 39 ;, starting with the Nintendo switch. You will see a list of many platforms that appear on the homepage in the coming weeks, with the aim of updating them several times a year as new releases add to the existing library in the system.

If you want to help us explain why we make a list of the & # 39; best games & # 39 ;, and how to solve them in the games we have, you can listen to our process live on the dedicated episode of Eurogamer Podcast.

Switchch is a version of the Wii or Wii version of the U. Although those explode all but demand that the games have to be redesigned to make its strange features, the Switch manages to make the old ideas new and by letting them out into the wild. Dark Souls of the tube! Mario on the beach!

While Nintendo had something to be easily accessible from Game Boy days, Switchch also described its multiplayer accessibility, and it was sold with the implausible promise of friends who flocked together in public spaces that were packed into one screen.

In the end, that sale came true. So whether you're looking for a TV game, a trip to work, or one of those formal rooftop parties from launch ads, hopefully there's something for you here on our list of the best Nintendo Switch games.

The History of Zelda: Breathing in Wildlife

To create a game about nature, Zelda's creators had to change the way they were created. The use of the precision of all parts of nature had to be obscured, and the intricate canals that cover the entire area were removed by large vistas that at first seemed empty.

Don't be fooled. Breath of the Wild was built and named just like any other Zelda game before it, but everything in this great, seemingly inaccessible game is set to feel lost and small and at the mercy of things. Choose a clue and explore: real beauty and revelation are expected.

Super Mario Odyssey

The Odyssey is Mario's amazing game, which has a purpose for each country to have its own costumes and gimmicks, but also to explain its beauty. After Breath of the Wild & # 39; s Hyrule's super-explosive hierarchy, it's like sinking into jumble sales. But just like every useless sale there are some of the best things you can find: stunning landscapes glittering with exotic paintings and seemingly driven by foreign laws.

And at the heart of it all, that brilliant sense of weight and momentum and speed that made Mario the platform more than anyone else could touch. So Odyssey is a game of times, in other words – and what could be more like Mario than that?

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Many others have used the Mario Kart formula since its inception in 1992, not Nintendo itself, to bring about variations, variations and variations over the years. It was never until Mario Kart 8, that it matched the original SNES highlight, with the work of amazing thinking and great art.

It wasn't until the release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe a few years later, that Nintendo introduced more than the best in the series so far; tying together all the DLC that came to the Wii U version-post release, most importantly and added a fun Battle Mode that completes the package. It's too close to perfection.

Splatoon 2

Splatoon 2 is a glamorous group-based shooter with a unique place to shoot a mechanic, but it's only part of the appeal. The stadiums are beautiful and the weapons are a joy to use, and there is the fun of the gaming team with a great ink cast, but Slatoon & # 39; s switchch space installation comes to mind because of its inclusion.

Much has been written about the switch end-to-end. For the first days of console-era life, Inkopolis Square sounded like the heart not only of this fantastic game but of the charming, personable, colorful and amazing console it runs. Great thing!

Super Smash Bros Ultimate

It doesn't matter whether you like martial arts or not: Smash Bros. is for someone who has completely crossed video games, crazy, high-risk and professional character not only of Nintendo's rich history but of all the middle tier.

The actors are so great, it takes everything from Mario to Metal Gear, the options are numerous and the sound is a dead giveaway. Oh, and the game underneath it is all right too, the deliberate stubborn dust enjoyed by the shoulders and friends. You will find a few of all the video games here at smash Bros. Finally, the soulless celebration of the middle is all tedious, unreadable and fun.

Weapons

How this happens: Mario Kart's team is making fighting games what they once did in driving games in a bold, enthusiastic and original color scheme. However, despite delivering that promise well, Arms has never found the right audience. Fortunately, though, that shouldn't prevent you from taking the remainder of one of the switchch's highlights.

Here is a fast-paced weapon, providing unlimited depth and doing all this with one hell of a spring on its base. Ah, and it's found in its arms, as your fighters come to the screen with a perfectly fitting product of pugilism. The possibilities for the sequel now seem slim, so make for an alternative gameplay.

Tetris 99

The War Royale Tetris sounds like a joke, but it turns out to be the basis for one of the console's strengths over the years. For Tetris, a game once played permanently, but now it's against a rival sports board.

There are two types of beauty here: the beauty of the game that you know has been distorted in the new form, and the hidden beauty of subtle rules and synergies that will see you board the leaderboard. Tetris is not just a permanent game, it's a permanent surprise.

Donkey Kong Type Pot

Unfairly dishonest when it first appeared – something to do, perhaps, with a wish from developer Ritro fans to return to the Metroid Prime series that made its name – Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze emerged later as something modern.

Here is a 2D platform with muscle, shear and, most importantly, the imagination, it puts the piece behind in the design of the clip in a fun composing environment for one of the game's most well-worn dresses. It all helps to keep up with the irresistible score, making it one of the best players of the time, regardless of which platform.

So good, in fact, that I will admit that I was a little disappointed when it was announced that Retro, after all these years, was returning to Metroid Prime, because I really love seeing so much of this.

Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age

There are other Final Fantasy games available for Nintendo Switch – there are 7 and 9 if you want to sample some of the PS1 Classics, or even 10-2 if you want a future gap – but none are as acceptable as Final Fantasy 12. Partly because this presents our first chance to play Final Fantasy 12 in continuity, and in part because this yearning of spins in Plato's formula is totally worth playing.

Set up your gambling, expand your team and let them unlock marks as you go about your daily business. Not perfect, of course, but hope that Final Fantasy 12 gets the love it deserves and not the full platform.

Picross S

Picross has become such an embedded part of Nintendo's handheld portfolio that it's easy to forget it's there. It is easy, of course, to think that this is not video games at all – they are close relatives of sudoku, they sit alongside other brochures as outsiders, and offer simple psychological pleasure and reductionism.

For all that, it's easy to forget how good a formula is, and see if you've left the * playing time * test 150 hours on all three releases so far on the Nintendo switch. If it's a mobile food, you don't get much better at this.

Glasses Made

Wounds started life on the PSP, and despite the transition from Sony to Nintendo, Richastered feels like home. The only puzzle to truly challenge Tetris about unity and dualism – okay, maybe Drop7 is approaching – is built for a screen like this, bright and comfortable wide and yet held, somehow, in your hands. The bands have never looked better and the use of vibration is temporary.

Mostly, though, it's Lumines back where it belongs, inches from the look of your eyes, the timeline runs over and over and leaves the glittering look behind it changed again. Points this is great!

Windjammers

In the past, there was nothing supernatural, nothing more ninety than Neo Geo, and one game in what is the most amazing and powerful piece of equipment was over ninety in all. From developer documentary developer Data East to Hiromi Mita's compassionate visuals, the Windjammers arcade perfection, serving up the fun alchemy of Street Fighter and Pong.

He is one of the best multiplayer games available, making it extremely important on the switch. Now it's not a case of hoping that the first pub you go to has Neo Geo is a full cupboard in the corner – because of the wonders of modern technology, you can challenge someone in the Windjammers game wherever you are.

Puyo Puyo Tetris

The combination of two sophisticated greats, one austere and angular, one squishy and sugar, makes for a perfect classic in itself. But there is more to Puyo Puyo Tetris than the ingenuity of its construction.

In the early days of Transformation, the game was above all else embodied in the dream of a console: a crowd of friends, free in the world, and everyone was full on a small screen placed on the table in front of them while the chaos of the four players unfolded. If you have ever wondered what that is to the left of the back of the switch is, don't ask. It's about Puyo Puyo Tetris.

Devil The Engine

Switches are not short for shmups. Take Konni & # 39; s Arni Collection Arcade and you can play Gradius 2, you're one of the greatest, or maybe you want to sample classic Thunder Force 4 with the impressive Mga & # 39; s Sega Ages port. Either you can go through the great back catalog of Psikyo, or get a good introduction to the genre in smart format, available through Danmaku Unlimited 3.

Or, if it's just one more game to follow, you can turn to Devil Engine – a new effort that has learned Classics and added its own unique flavor. It's a wonderfully fun game, and one that looks – and sounds – and half as well. The Devil Engineer will simply show that, at some point, they actually do them the way they liked.

Entering Divorce

A tactical game that deals with the dinkiest ground attack, Breach economic research. From small game playgrounds and shorter game times to sparse animations and simple rules governing the unit, everything here is bright and shiny and well worth the purpose.

The basics like this lead to rich surprises, but this is one of those games you can play for days and weeks and months without ever feeling like you've stopped learning.

Here's a tip to get you started: don't just think about what you can do in the unit, but also think about where it ends up when the opportunity runs out. If you've never played this, I'm jealous. Strategic expectations are expected.
