The wait for Rockstar Games’ GTA 6 is endless. And a financial report from the publisher Take-Two indicates that the waiting time could be even longer.
How long do we have to wait for GTA 6?
What we know thanks to Take-Two: From a Financial report At an investor meeting, it emerges that Take-Two Interactive plans to publish 21 games by the end of the current fiscal year in March 2022. That sounds promising at first.
However, the company also explains that only four of the titles are so-called “Immersive Core” games, large and important titles. Two of them are said to belong to well-known brands.
No place for GTA 6: GTA 6 is one of the company’s important brands, but it is unlikely to be included in the games that will be released until March 2022. Because it is known that with WWE 2K22 and a new NBA 2K, two titles from large franchises are likely to come this year. So, at least during this period, there is no more room for a release of the new Grand Theft Auto.

What else Rockstar is planning for 2021
But players will not go away empty-handed in 2021: For example, GTA Online is to receive more missions and cars this year, while the studio is planning a “surprise” for the anniversary of GTA 3. What does all this mean for the release?
So insiders agree that GTA 6 will be in development for quite a while. However, there are contradictions regarding an exact date. Official statements from Rockstar Games are also a long time coming. However, it is very likely that we will have to wait even longer before we can finally experience a new Grand Theft Auto.
The release date of GTA 5 for PS5 and Xbox Series X / S proves that there could be something to these opinions. Rockstar Games recently announced that GTA 5 on November 11, 2021 for the new consoles appears. It would be strange if the release were followed by a GTA 6 just a few months later.
