Apple doesn’t stop working on its betas regardless of the hour and surprises us with a Second Release Candidate of iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6. If you downloaded the first version of Release Candidate, you can update the same way you update any stable version of iOS.
A second release candidate for stable is unusual, but not too rare in Apple’s development program. This means that the company wants to polish up any rough edges that the brave people who have tried it have come across.
High quality sound and AirTag lost mode improvements
iOS 14.6 and iPadOS 14.6 will bring Support for Apple Music Hi-Fi, officially announced a few days ago. Another detail is that in these new versions we can enter an email (and not just a phone number) as data to display in case an AirTag activates its lost mode.
As always, we recommend that you do not install these previous versions of Apple systems as they are not stable and may compromise data integrity. There is very little left for iOS 14.6 to arrive definitively and stable, so the best you can do is wait a bit longer.
