A new Lupine III anime is about to make its way onto television. Unveiled on Wednesday an official website and teaser trailer, Lupine III: Part VI was announced as part of the 50th anniversary of the first Lupine III anime series, which premiered on October 24, 1971.
There’s barely any footage in the teaser, but it immediately takes on a very somber tone, with a brief narrative and the sound of a shot being fired – one represented by a prominent bullet in the series logo.
It has been three years since the last one Lupine III Anime series aired in Japan, 2018 Lupine III: Part V. (and two years since it was brought to the States in 2019). Last years Lupine III: The First The animated film was an excellent holdover for fans of the legendary gentleman thief.
No release date for Lupine III: Part VI has been announced, but it’s likely certain that more news will be expected on this front before the anime’s big anniversary in October.
