Cry, Friday, Gameplay, revealed

Tune in this Friday for the first gameplay footage of Far Cry 6.

Far Cry 6 is finally ready to show off some gameplay, with an official reveal scheduled for May 28. Originally scheduled to launch this past February, the game has been hit by pandemic-related delays and is expected to launch sometime before March 2022..

Despite an original release date of February, we have yet to see the game in action. So far, only CGI trailers have been released, making May 28 a great day for fans of the series. Little is known about Far Cry 6 beyond its main antagonist, played by Giancarlo Esposito, and it will be interesting to see how the game plays out after seemingly tricky development.

The live stream of Far Cry 6 Worldwide Gameplay Reveal will air at 9:30 a.m. M. PDT and at 6:30 p.m. M. CEST on May 28. There is no indication of how long the presentation will last, although you can see a preview before it airs:

Ubisoft got some bad news earlier this month when Marc McGinley, a senior game designer on Far Cry 6, left the studio. It is unknown why he decided to leave the company, although he announced that “it has been a pleasure to have worked with so many talented people in various brands.”

Before McGinley’s departure, various fans and insiders were speculating that Far Cry 6 would be released on May 25 or April 30, both of which turned out to be false. Hopefully the game reveal will also come with a release date announcement so that we can finally mark a date on our calendar.

Far Cry 6 will take players to the fictional island of Yara, a Caribbean island inspired by real-world Cuba. Dictator Anton Castillo, played by Esposito, rules the island with an iron fist, while preparing his son Diego to take his place in the future. Meanwhile, you will play the role of a local soldier trying to overthrow the dictator and bring freedom to the island.

Expect to learn more about Yara, Castillo, and the conflict at the heart of Far Cry 6 during its gameplay reveal this Friday.
