We don't know exactly what happened, when the rights to the classic game were over and another company had done it or if EA just didn't want to continue developing its Tetris games, but what is clear is only three months left to enjoy the games.
The note you see above can be read in each Tetris game in the App Store and says:
"Sincerely, fans:
It has been a pleasant experience, but unfortunately the time has come. From April 21, 2020, the EA Tetris application will be withdrawn and will no longer be available for play. You can continue to enjoy the game and use all the features in this game until April 21, 2020.
We hope you had a lot of fun with this game and we want to thank you for your support. ¡¡Thank you!
