There were some changes in the Steam Charts this week: Last week the Legendary Edition of the Mass Effect trilogy claimed the top spot for itself, but now Commander Shepard and his crew have to give way to a very agile fur wearer.
Biomutant is the new No. 1
The action role-playing game based on a mutated mythical creature seems to be very popular on Steam. In the international review table, Biomutant caused a rather mixed response from the critics. We are also impressed by the playful approaches, but miss the ultimate consequence in many points. You can read all about it in the GameStar test:

Many players are also only moderately enthusiastic on Steam. Despite the good sales, Biomutant only comes up with an average of “Balanced” in the reviews. In the reviews one criticizes above all the called price. The tenor: At a retail price of 40 dollars, what is offered would be absolutely fine, but not at the full price of 60 dollars.

Open worlds always work
But it is also worth taking a look at the lower ranks of the charts. Because thanks to the recently launched Steam Open-World-Sales a few real classics can celebrate their return to the top 10 again.
The RPG crowd favorite The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt landed in ninth place in the GotY edition – the fact that the game is still finding so many buyers six years after its release should put one of his rare smiles on the face of the witcher Geralt.
The two long-running hits ARK: Survival Evolved (8th place) and the pirate adventure Sea of Thieves (3rd place) make a return to the list. It remains to be seen whether and how long the classics can stay there even after the current sale has ended.
By the way, the campaign ends this evening at 7 p.m. In the event that you still want to get one or the other open world pearl quickly, we have put together an overview of some of the big highlights:
