There are many, many laptop sleeves on the market. While price is a real indicator of quality, sometimes when looking for a low cost option the quality can be compromised. At UGREEN, they are specialized in the offer good quality products at really affordable prices, today we are focusing on the 15.4-inch sleeve for our MacBook Pro.
Simple, quality design and finishes
The design of the cover is, like many of the brand’s products, simple but neat. UGREEN only offers one finish, the one seen in the photos, which can best be described as a warm off-gray. With a texture similar to faux leather, but significantly less slippery both to the touch if we’re carrying the case in our hands and on surfaces, where a slight push doesn’t send our Mac across the table.
The case’s one-way zipper is another design highlight for two main reasons. The first, beyond the good quality of it, is that it is a hard plastic zipper, so your teeth will not scratch our Mac when entering or leaving of the sleeve. The second, totally in the tradition of the previous one, is the extra thickness of quilted fabric next to the zipper which protects the Mac so that it does not get scratched with it when it is closed and helps to make it very difficult to store. presence of friction.
Internal protection and water resistance
It’s never a good idea to leave the cover of our Mac, knowing that it is going indoors, in the rain, but this cover from UGREEN has some water resistance. In my testing it holds up well to a certain degree of rain, although the area most sensitive to water ingress is the zipper.
Inside, the padding of the Mac is very complete. The computer is in contact with a velvety fabric. A fabric, accepted out of disrespect, which does not fluff in any case. After this layer, and before the outer covering material just mentioned, there is a polyethylene foam which cushions the computer and prevents shocks is transferred directly to the machine.
Used to other covers, even from well-known brands, I must say that I was surprised by the thickness and resistance of this layer. Strong enough, for example, that the lid retains its structure even when we only take it from one side. Something which, moreover, facilitates the removal and installation of our computer inside.

Finally a mention of size. Measuring 37.5 x 26.5 x 3cm, the sleeve fits well on 15- and 16-inch MacBook Pro. Note that there is no over-coverage around the Mac and that the computer is not loose inside. Without having to squeeze it inside, the fit is no more and no less than adequate.
It is clear that choosing the right cover for our precious 15 or 16 inch MacBook Pro is important, however, sometimes finding the right balance between quality and price can be trial and error. With this UGREEN laptop sleeve we ensure a good choice.
