After testing the Asus ROG Gladius III Wireless, it is the turn of the keyboard that “accompanies” it in order to get to the test of writing with the Rog Claymore II, one of the highest models of the range also from Asus, due to its price as through its technical properties.
The first thing you notice is the sight of this keyboard in the packaging, it is its rather elegant design. This measures 462 x 155 x 39 millimeters with a total weight of 1.1 kg, which makes it a rather modest keyboard with a few special features that we will come back to later. Only one height is possible and that is a shame for a keyboard in this price range.
Excellent sensations under the fingers
Asus opted for ROG RX Optical Mechanical Red or Blue Switches. This is the red version that we were allowed to test, you can freely choose your color when purchasing the keyboard. To know that the blue clicks because it makes a characteristic activation sound, while the red is more linear and less loud in its course. Both in simple office use and in games, the keyboard does its job very well and is really fun with very pleasant key feedback and very good typing speed.
The RGB lighting on this model is just superb and one of the best on the market today with even brightness across the entire key so you can play in total darkness with no thunder. As always, everything is fully customizable via Armory Crate, Asus’ in-house software, which allows you to assign macros, change the RGB, redefine buttons, etc.
