When Far Cry 6 is released in October this year, two features that you are actually used to from the shooter series will be missing. Ubisoft has now confirmed that.
Far Cry 6 is about to break with some of the traditions of the shooter franchise. The new part completely dispenses with two features, although these have been represented in every main part of the series up to now.
In the course of an AMA session on Reddit, the developer confirmed in the person of Game Director Alexandre Letendre that this time there will be a map editor and an arcade mode. A fan had previously spoken to him about it after the shooter had recently been presented in more detail without the features being listed.
“No, Arcade will not return. Removing this mode from our plans was a difficult decision, but it allowed us to focus all our efforts on the main campaign to put the players in the heart of a modern guerrilla revolution,” said Letendre justification.
Separated from this, it was also announced that Hurk, one of the characters extremely loved by fans, will also not make an appearance. This time you wanted to concentrate more on Yara and characters from the game region; Hurk is taking part in other adventures in the game universe at the time of Far Cry 6, but will therefore be left out of the campaign.
Far Cry 6 will be released on October 7, 2021 for Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC.
