Publisher Return number And the developer free life Already announced No; A city construction game, the focus is on restoration, not expansion.
Usually, city building games have very demanding expectations of you: consume natural resources and expand your empire, otherwise you will fail.
Whether you achieve your resource hoarding goal by entering late capitalism, exploiting the labor of workers, or just violently breaking into the top to achieve resource hoarding goals, these games are not the most ecologically conscious things in the world.
Enter Terra Nil; a new effort by Broforce developers to transform this genre into a consumerist mind.
“The open strategy is carried out through multiple restoration stages, including cultivating biodiversity, repairing the climate, and even recycling the buildings that players used to get there,” the game’s press release said.
In order to succeed, you need to travel across the earth and restore different geographical areas, each of which has its own unique challenges to overcome and needs to take into account its own flora and fauna.
“Navigating the huge procedurally generated map in a lush, hand-drawn environment, everything except the rocks is moving and breathing,” the release continued. “Restore the world climate, provide unique weather patterns for different regions, as well as beautiful and contemplative reactive soundtracks and audio palettes.”
Compared to the obvious industrial attire of its type stable partner, this does sound like a breath of fresh air (no pun intended).
The game will be launched on Steam “soon”, but there is no set release date yet. Check out its Steam page here.
