During the presentation of iOS 15 Apple introduced a lot of new features, especially related to system apps. And now it’s just discovered a change in iOS 15 that brings us back something we sorely missed. This is something that changed in iOS 14, and we didn’t like it at all.
We already know that the novelties of iOS 15 presented by Apple in keynote were not all, we discovered up to 50 news that Apple didn’t say anything about at the event. And this change that we are mentioning now is not part of all this hidden and secret news.
The wheel-shaped selector returns
Apple introduced in iOS 14 a new form of control that replaced the classic dial or dial when selecting a time or date. This is something that was particularly appreciated when setting an alarm. Before iOS 14, we slid some sort of wheel to put it at the exact point, and with iOS 14 that changed to a keyboard.
It was a decision that hardly anyone loves me, it was an intuitive form of control that was present in iOS since the first iPhone. And now with iOS 15 this wheel or dial is available again.
This change affects various applications on the system. The top image corresponds to the Clock application when setting an alarm, but in other applications such as Calendar we also have this interface back. A real success for Apple.
Remember that this interface is extended to all system applications with this type of controls, as well as to third-party applications. Now Apple has brought the classic jog wheel back to us in iOS 15, and it’s great news that listened to users how much we complain about the previous change.
