F1 2021 will be the first part of the license that will be optimized for the new Microsoft consoles. The GamingBolt site had the opportunity to interview Lee Mather, “Franchise Game Director” at Codemasters.
He specifically mentions the different graphics modes available to you. If you have an Xbox Series X, you have access to a “Graphics” mode in 4K at 60 frames per second and a “Performance” mode in 1440p at 120 frames per second. The Xbox Series S won’t have the same treatment as the game will only run in 1080p at 60 frames per second.
So it’s a good development for Xbox Series X owners. In fact, this is the first time on the console that the display will appear at 120 frames per second in the F1 license. On the other hand, this cannot be said for the Xbox Series S, which cannot offer an entirely similar experience even if the rest of the planned developments will be part of the game. As a reminder, the title is out on Xbox One and Xbox Series X on July 16, 2021 | S planned.
