Master Ninja Gaiden Collection, is the ideal compilation for any fan of the Ryu Hayabusa saga. The Mythical Trilogy began in 2005, when Ninja Team, he decided to bring back the saga Ninja Gaiden. On this occasion, we ended up with a game that had dizzying action, a good level design and enemies that would make things very difficult for us. Following the success of the first installment, the company decided to continue developing the franchise, ending with a third installment that will not end. In this sense, we have an increase in its resolution that reaches 4K and 60FPS on both Xbox One X and Series X. These improvements are more than obvious and make the game look pretty good.

Even if it must be said that another additional change would have suited him even better, mainly during his first delivery. Despite this, the increased frame rate is perhaps the best news that could have happened to the franchise. Enjoying its action at 60 fps is a spectacular experience. In this sense we are very happy with the result, since it remains stable throughout the adventure and gives us a fantastic result. On the other hand, its sound section has undergone some improvements even if it must be said that it conforms to it without too much fanfare during all deliveries.

In addition to these technical improvements, the game brings some weird changes. The most relevant is the ability to control new characters such as: Rachel, Ayane, Momiji and Kasumi. Each of these fighters offers a unique style that allows us to approach the action differently. Plus, each of its games adds virtually every DLC released to date. Master Ninja Gaiden Collection, once again gives us the opportunity to enjoy this fantastic saga with some improvements which, as we have mentioned, are good for the franchise. However, beyond these improvements, the games remain virtually identical to what they were back then. It is for this reason that we were curious to benefit again from the work of Team Ninja. In this sense, we must tell you that you have nothing to fear, Ninja gaiden is still a true representative of the hack and slash genre. The Adventures feel really good despite the years, although his second installment stands out above the rest, which is greatly appreciated thanks to its new refresh rate.

Where we notice the passing of the years is in controlling your camera, which can be a real nuisance at times, especially in its first installment. That’s why, despite appreciating the novelties in this collection, one can’t help but think that with a little more care, we would have a virtually perfect trilogy.

On the other hand, a point where the company wanted to put its hand is in difficulty. Don’t panic, this is not a radical change from its already well-known difficulty. The team decided to include a new difficulty called Hero. Thanks to this, when we are in situations where our life is in danger, that is, our health is at a minimum, we will get enough help to avoid dying. We stress again that this is a completely optional difficulty, so the player can choose or not. Among the aids that stand out are automatic dodging and blocking, as well as the ability to use ninpo at any time.

Master Ninja Gaiden Collection, is a very good compilation of the Ryu Hayabusa trilogy. Thanks to this new edition, we will be able to enjoy three great adventures which remain to this day a must for action fans. In addition, thanks to its new difficulty, many players who did not dare to make the jump will now be able to do so. However, it is a shame that this collection has not been more ambitious, including improvements within the gameplay. As we commented, some mechanics like controlling your camera, as well as the inability to pin enemies can be quite annoying at times.
