In its own livestream, Koch Media presented the first gameplay from Scars Above this evening. It is, so to speak, a Tomb Raider in space: third-person perspective, female protagonist, exploratory passages and fights are very reminiscent of Lara Croft’s adventures. Although all kinds of information have to be gathered, the overall focus is more on the skirmishes with the terrifying and huge creatures.

As part of the Summer Game Fest, Koch Media has announced another project together with Mad Head Games. This is the sci-fi action adventure Scars Above, which will be released under the new Prime Matter gaming label.
Apart from the first short presentation as part of a compilation with other Prime Matter titles, few details about Scars Above are known so far. The focus is on Kate Ward, a scientist and astronaut. She is stranded on a strange and hostile alien planet and has to survive there. The game is considered one of Koch Media’s major new games, according to the announcement. The release is planned for PC and consoles in 2022, although more specific information was not given.
The responsible Serbian development team has so far been responsible for smaller adventures, as well as for the ARPG Pagan. In this respect, the studio dares to venture into the third-person action genre for the first time.
More information about Scars Above can be expected tomorrow, because then takes place from 9 p.m. the stream from Koch Media and Prime Matter instead of. The project manager and game director of the game, Ivan Zorkic, will also be there.
