Rumors are over. Gearbox has taken advantage of its great moment during E3 2021 to serve a good portion of news for Godfall, including what we all took for granted: the looter shooter that accompanied the launch of PS5 will bring his brutal sword strokes to PS4 before the summer is over.
Of course, Gearbox also had some surprises in store for PC players and, as of next August 10, from both PlayStation systems: Godfall
On the one hand, with the arrival of the Lightbringer Update An Endgame will be added, as well as a huge amount of loot and skins to encourage us to continue sweeping our character. In addition, the expansion Fire & Darkness will extend the contents of its own Godfall leading us to fight the Kingdom of Fire and facing new enemies.
While updating Godfall will be free for all players, in the case of Fire & Darkness it is a paid expansion that is included in all Deluxe and Ascended editions of the game. In any case, the two new batches of content will arrive on August 10.
Godfall heads to PS4 with cross-play
In fairness, Gearbox had already anticipated that the exclusivity of the game on PS5 consoles would last until last May, with what the big question that remained before us was to know when and how the game would look with respect to the new generation version. Unfortunately, we have to wait a little longer for the second.
On the other hand, Gearbox has confirmed that Godfall to offer PS5 and PS4 players crossover play, promising that both consoles will offer very fluid online multiplayer. Which gives rise to the last of the great announcements: the beginning of the beta of Godfall matchmaking it will also be this summer.
Godfall will get a new boost of content before it reaches its first year as a game and, in the process, the experience of looter slasher Gearbox opens to over 110 million PS4 owners. A play, at least, interesting for which it was the first game officially announced for PlayStation 5.
