From March 13, 2020, the new Nioh 2 will cause a sensation. The sequel to the surprise success comes again from Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo – and the two have released fresh information about the challenging action role-playing game in preparation for the release.
Since the story is in focus, there is also a new story trailer, which you can see below in this message. What is the plot about? You will be transferred to Japan at Sengoku in 1555, the time of the Warring States. The numerous battles have plunged the country into chaos and the residents are plagued by the Yokai. These are terrifying demon creatures from Japanese mythology.
In this scenario, you create your own protagonist and, as a fearless mercenary, take on the task of chasing Yokai in the province of Mino. The demon hunter keeps a terrible secret: he is a hybrid, an orphan with human and yokai blood. One day a disaster strikes when he loses control of his yokai powers in the fight against a cruel enemy. Only the help of a wandering merchant named Toukichiro can prevent worse. This sells the mysterious "ghost stones" – artifacts full of magic that connect to Yokai spirits. Toukichiro and the demon hunter decide to join forces and find more ghost stones together. During their mission they meet the Yokai hunter Mumyo, get into the service of the mighty general Oda Nobunaga and face a demonic power that is also looking for the stones.
This plot gives hope for an epic game experience that should occupy you for several hours in the main game. After the release, however, supplies should also be provided. Now it is clear: The Season Pass already announced will include a total of three DLC packages.
This is not about minor additional content, but according to Team Ninja "major extensions". Each of these focuses on a separate action that takes place before the events of Nioh 2, that is, leads to the main action. Each of the additional content packs should give you another four to ten (!) Hours of game time. There are new main and side missions, challenges, new weapons, combat skills and characters.
