Hideo Kojima recently released Death Stranding, but he already made it clear that he has more projects in mind and that that was the first game of a new Kojima Productions that has come to stay. In a recent interview, Kojima and his inseparable Yoji Shinkawa have given new details about the upcoming Kojima Productions projects, among which are several games of lower budget, a game of greater ambition and even sleeves or movies.

In the final part of the interview he collects Dualshockers, Famitsu asked Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa about what kind of projects they would like to do next. First they mentioned that they would like to make a manga together. Shinkawa mentioned that he liked being able to touch things directly, so an analog project like a manga would be fine. They mentioned that Death Stranding has many different weapons, but few wicks, so Kojima wants to do something with wicks to give some wink design work to Shinkawa. Something that they think would be more a manga than a video game.

Kojima stated that Kojima Productions plans to work in multiple games, one of which would be a big budget game. On the other hand, Kojima would also like to try to do smaller games, such as episodic games and digital games. He is not sure he can do it, but he hopes to develop and launch smaller games while still working on a larger game project.

Kojima ended the interview by mentioning how the line between videogames and films is increasingly blurred and as many actors and film directors have gone through their studio and declare themselves fans of video games. In any case, only the future will tell us what the prodigious study is up to.
