From December 5 to 8, PUBG Corporation piloted the new uber popular battle mode Battlefields for unknown players. It's called Bluehole mode, and it's designed to prevent players from taking a field within a safe area.

Usually in battle drag games, a large circle draws a map during a game, forcing teams of players into a claustrophobic arena. This can create problems for players at the edges of safe spaces. As they entered the safe area, they rushed to the players who had started a safe place to hang out for more minutes. It's a frustrating way to lose a game. But Bluehole Mode may be the solution.

In addition to the standard internal shut-in circle, the inaccessible safe has additional interior space in Bluehole mode. This is to prevent players from getting inside the circle that lasts until the second round. Any player who is brave or foolish enough to enter will take permanent damage, such as the outer circle. Players will need to position themselves between the inner and outer circles until the main cycle, where the inner circle will allow the players inside.

PUBG Corporation said it created a new mode because players who play near the last round often have the wrong benefits. It also wanted to prevent the players from playing the whole game, against the actual battle instead of the other players.

Bluehole mode testing ends in Dec. 8 at PUBG Labs, and it's not clear that it will hit the servers live at any time.
