Are you looking forward to EA games In July? You should probably be-the publisher obviously plans to release a new game based on classic IP during the event.
It seems that EA Motive, the developer of Star Wars Squadron, is working on reviving an established IP in the EA roster that is loved by fans. According to rumors, this unannounced game will be shown at the new non-E3 adjacent EA Play event starting on Thursday, July 22.
When Jeff Grubb, the resident driver of GamesBeat, commented that he had heard of the project, whispers about the project began. “We will see it…if we didn’t die first,” he teased.
This was easily accepted by the VGC and Eurogamer-the latter stated that the information “matched what they heard.”

Grubb teased that it might be a re-examination of Dead Space, which will allow EA to revisit the series for the first time since Dead Space 3 in 2013 (developer Visceral Games closed in 2017).
Unfortunately, the company itself did not reveal much what it might be doing. We do know that, thanks to a blog post published by Motive General Manager Patrick Klaus in October 2020, Motive’s goal is to develop games that “enable players to create, experiment, live, and share their own unique stories”.
It doesn’t sound like dead space to us. However, after talking about the work on “several unannounced games,” Klaus went on to talk about the key points the studio will focus on in the future:
“In our new mission, we have tried many things and tested many ideas that you cannot accept, because iteration and experimentation are healthy and the key to finding great things.
“This team is very talented and we are all working hard to make ambitious games that push the boundaries of what players expect now and in the future.”
We will see what happens to EA Play. You can also look forward to new screenings of “Dragon Age 4” and “Skateboard 4”.
