Microsoft Confirmed its Cyberpunk 2077 The refund program is restoring the company’s more standard refund policy for digitally purchased games Xbox In July.
Since December 2020, Xbox has been offering refunds to consumers who are dissatisfied with “Cyberpunk 2077” on Xbox. They bought the game on the Microsoft Store. This is in line with the company’s view of digital sales on the platform. It runs counter to the usual position of the end result.
However, Microsoft will terminate this policy soon. Starting on July 6, “Cyberpunk 2077” will be treated like all other games on the Microsoft Store. In other words: “All sales of digital game products are considered the final result, but we understand that there may be extenuating circumstances.”
According to Microsoft, “all new and existing” sales of “Cyberpunk 2077” will be affected when this change occurs in July. Cyberpunk 2077 returns to the PlayStation Store this week, marking the end of the eight months that the game has been absent from the Sony storefront. After the game’s errors and instability became clear, Sony removed “Cyberpunk 2077” from the PS Store, but Microsoft chose to continue to sell the game despite modifying the refund method.
To try to get a refund before the July 6 deadline, please go here. We have written a guide on how to try to request a refund from Xbox, so if you feel that there is no progress, be sure to check it out.
Perhaps preventing the flow of all these refunds will make up for CD Projekt’s sharp decline in profits in the first quarter of 2021.
