With the departure of PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X at the end of the year, it is logical to think that all the games that are released this year with just a few months apart, may be thinking of an intergenerational launch or a port later to squeeze the potential of the new machines with an improved version of their game. This is the case of DOOM Eternal, the new ID Software greatly expresses the possibilities of Playstation 4 and Xbox One, so, according to its creators, "It would be logical" to think of a new generation version.
Marty Stratton, director of DOOM Eternal, comments in a recent talk with Meter that, although it is focused on Xbox One and PS4 as the only objective for the launch of the game, it is exciting to think about the new machines. Admit that a game port for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and get the best experience on those platforms "It would be logical."
"We haven't talked about that yet, but one of the exciting things is that we are at the end of this console cycle, where our team knows this technology very, very well," Stratton said. “Then it really allowed us to boost and maximize this hardware. And I am very excited about what it means for the next hardware.«
“So we haven't announced anything, but it's really exciting. They are doing really amazing things with that hardware, so I think it's logical that we push towards that and honestly try to be one of the best games on that platform too«.
DOOM Eternal will go on sale next March 20 for Xbox One, PC and PS4, later a version of Nintendo Switch is expected.
